The former head of the Cherven District Department of Internal Affairs, Protapovich, resigned before the protests , then worked as the manager of the Cherven District Executive Committee. He left after the events of 2020.
He was arrested in March 2022.
According to human rights activists , he will be released in the summer of 2024, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
