Andrei was arrested on September 27, 2020, during a protest in Grodno after he attempted to shield and help a man lying on the ground. He was subsequently convicted of "violence against a police officer."
At the end of December 2021, Andrei was transferred to prison regime.
According to calculations, he was supposed to be released in the winter of 2026.
