On March 31, 2022, the contract with Nikolai Chernous was not renewed, and he was left without a job. And he worked as a lawyer in the sports and tourism department of the Baranovichi regional executive committee. The reasons for the detention are unknown.
He was released after 15 days of arrest. It is known that a criminal case was initiated against him under Art. 368 of the Criminal Code (insulting Lukashenka). But in what status Nikolai is now is unknown.
