In September of the same year, Sergei was convicted again, this time for a comment under a photograph of senior traffic police inspector M. Yu. Malakhevich, which, according to the court, contained offensive statements. Taking into account the previous sentence, the punishment was replaced with restriction of freedom with referral to a correctional facility.
According to human rights activists, he was released in December 2023, having fully served his sentence imposed by the court.
