In 2019, she tried civil activist Olesya Sadovskaya under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (violence against a police officer). But she was convicted under Part 2 of Article 363 of the Criminal Code (resisting a police officer with the use of violence). As a result, Kokhanovskaya deprived her of the opportunity to fully raise her young daughter for three years.
