Vitaly was found guilty in November 2020 of a criminal offense related to insult. According to the local publication Zarya nad Nemanom, one day in September 2020, he posted a publicly accessible obscene comment, degrading her honor and dignity, under a photograph of a woman named P. in the Telegram channel "Bridges for Life" due to her participation in the electoral commission for the presidential election of the Republic of Belarus.
He was released in 2022, having fully served his sentence.
