Yevgeny Gurinov is 34 years old and lives in Minsk. In 2011, he graduated from Belarusian State University, and in 2018 he defended his Ph.D. thesis there. In recent years, he worked as a project coordinator for the Aniv Foundation for the Development and Support of Armenian Studies. Oleg Davydenko is 71 years old. His scientific and labor activity is connected with the Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 2000 he was elected a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He is the author of 300 scientific papers, including 5 monographs, 1 textbook, 19 plant varieties.

Denis is accused of taking part in protests in Minsk, as well as distributing extremist materials and insulting Lukashenko.
After the trial, it became known that another case was opened against Denis for participating in protests in 2020.
In May 2023, it became known that a new criminal case had been opened against Denis under Art. 342 part 1 and transferred to pre-trial detention center-1. On November 17, 2023, an appeal hearing was held and the second verdict came into force.

As the preliminary investigation established, from July to September 2021, Vitaly allegedly used his mobile phone to post several publications on the Telegram messenger containing deliberately false information about Lukashenko's activities.
The political prisoner's trial began on November 18, 2022; the decision is pending.
In March 2023, Vitaly was tried again, this time for "insulting a government official," with the outcome also unknown.
