Ekaterina Salevich was accused of deliberately publicly insulting a government official on the “Slonim for Life” telegram channel on August 25. The victim was recognized as a police officer of the OMON of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee, senior police sergeant Sergei Oskolkov, whose photograph and personal information she reposted. According to the investigation materials, under the repost the girl posted a message “with a text of offensive content that humiliates the honor and dignity of Oskolkov.” He sentenced two years of restriction of freedom, without being sent to open correctional institutions, to Maxim Kuchinsky from Slonim, who stood up for a girl who suffered at the hands of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and who tore a policeman’s shirt. He handed down a sentence - restriction of freedom for 1 year and 1 month without referral to an open-type institution (“household chemicals”) to Vitaly Markevich, who has four minor children. The judge ordered the destruction of physical evidence, including the national flag, flag and even a badge. He was accused under two articles of the Criminal Code for the fact that Markevich painted graffiti of a “particularly cynical composition.” This is part 1 of Article 339 (Hooliganism) and 341 (Desecration of buildings and damage to property in public places) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. After rigging the elections and beating people at peaceful rallies, Markevich made several graffiti on various objects in Slonim and the Slonim region (in the village of Shilovichi), including at bus stops. One of the inscriptions on an abandoned wall referred to the head of the local police department (the meaning was that “people do not forgive”).

According to the telegram channel supporting the current government in the Republic of Belarus, Alexander was detained for transferring the data of employees of the Slonim district police Department to the bot of the «Black Book of Belarus», for calling for strikes and for participating in unauthorized mass actions in 2020.

Released for health reasons on bail of 100 basic units.
