He is an accomplice to crimes against the rights and freedoms of citizens of the Republic of Belarus, and a person involved in politically motivated repressions in Belarus. He took direct part in the persecution of citizens participating in protest activity. On August 11, 2020, he took part in the detention and subsequent murder of Gennady Shutov in Brest. Subsequently, he acted as a victim and gave false testimony in court, during which the deceased was posthumously found guilty of attempted murder of a government official, Alexander Kordzyukov, Shutov's comrade, who was able to escape at the time of detention, but was later detained, the court sentenced him to 10 years in prison. At the time of detention, Galitsyn shot Kordzyukov.
