Accomplice in crimes against the rights and freedoms of Belarusian citizens. He is an officer of law enforcement agencies involved in politically motivated repressions, during which thousands of peaceful protesters, several hundred journalists, human rights defenders, and activists were detained and subjected to violence. He regularly appears in court as a victim, having filed approximately 50 lawsuits for insult. He testified in the case of Andrey Krysiuk, who was sentenced to two years of restricted freedom without committal to a correctional facility and 1,000 rubles in moral damages; Natalya Kovaleva, who was sentenced to one and a half years of restricted freedom without committal to a correctional facility and 1,000 rubles in moral damages; Marina Snytko, who was sentenced to three years of restricted freedom without committal to a correctional facility and 1,000 rubles in moral damages; and Alexander Zhelezovsky, who was sentenced to three years of restricted freedom without committal to a correctional facility and 1,000 rubles in moral damages.
He is on the EU's recommended list of individuals subject to individual sanctions.
