Accomplice to crimes against the rights and freedoms of citizens of Belarus. Sergei Grigorievich Kovalchuk is an employee of law enforcement agencies involved in politically motivated repressions. Responsible for the criminal inaction of the Oshmyany District Prosecutor's Office and the refusal to initiate criminal cases against law enforcement officers guilty of using violence, damaging property and killing civilians. Involved in the persecution of citizens who expressed disagreement with the Lukashenko regime and spoke out against the falsification of the presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus in 2020. Acted as a state prosecutor in the politically motivated case of Ivan Verbitsky, convicted under Articles 295, 377, 289 of the Criminal Code for messages on the Internet and possession of ammunition. Sergei Kovalchuk requested 9 years and 6 months in prison for the man. Ivan was sentenced to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment to be served in a penal colony under strict regime.
