He handed down guilty verdicts in politically motivated cases, where he imposed penalties in the form of a fine in a total amount of at least 9,920 rubles and in the form of administrative arrest for at least 275 days. He tried 11 people, who were later recognized as political prisoners, and sentenced them to imprisonment for terms of 3.5 to 5 years, and also sentenced two minors to up to 3 years in an educational colony. Everyone took part in the rally after it became clear that the elections were rigged and were found guilty under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. He found Ilya Smolsky, accused of insulting the national flag under Article 370 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, guilty and sentenced him to 1 year of restriction of freedom and sent to an open institution. Ilya tore down the flag at the choreographic school in the city of Brest. Tried an activist of the independent trade union REP for a comment in a Radio Radio article. Denis has been involved in sports since early childhood, he is a five-time champion of Belarus in karate and a master of sports in karate, hand-to-hand and army combat, and also served in the 38th airborne assault brigade of the city of Brest, from where he retired on July 13, 2020.
Denis was arrested in a criminal case opened after the protests on August 10, 2020 in Brest against election fraud. He was accused of throwing asphalt at security forces and swinging at a police car, as a result of which he was convicted of participating in "mass riots." According to the case materials, the total damage amounted to about 24 thousand Belarusian rubles.
Despite his involvement in a male sport, he is a very kind and open person by nature.
He was released in April 2024, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
