Egor was detained, severely beaten, and later convicted of damaging the car of a policeman's wife in Novaya Borovaya.
In the fall of 2021, the political prisoner's punishment was toughened and he was transferred to a prison regime.
He was released in August 2023, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
