He was detained on August 18, 2020 in a case known as the “Korelich case,” about alleged unrest in Korelichi and Novogrudok after the presidential elections. Vladimir was convicted of “organizing mass riots” and for insulting Lukashenko. In IK-17 he was systematically beaten and treated with prejudice, sending him to a punishment cell and a cell-type room.
On May 28, 2023, he was transferred to prison regime.
