Representative of the association of former security officials BYPOL.

On the morning of February 26, 2023, explosions occurred at the Machulishchi airfield near a Russian long-range reconnaissance aircraft DRLV A-50, it was blown up in two places. It was used to guide Russian missiles to targets in Ukraine. It was reported that the aircraft is currently undergoing repairs at the 325th aircraft repair plant, which is part of the Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex in Russia.

The main defendant in the case and, as official bodies and propagandists claimed , the perpetrator of the sabotage, Nikolai Shvets, was released in June in a prisoner exchange with Ukraine.

Nikolai Shvets, Alexander Azarov, Alla Yatsuta, Vitaly Yakutik, Evgenia Tochitskaya, Mikhail Demin and Sergei Loparov were tried in absentia.

On August 19, the Minsk City Court will hear another criminal case against Alexander Azarov. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 289 of the Criminal Code (act of terrorism), Part 4 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code (intentional rendering a vehicle unusable), and Part 1 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code (Treason).

Pavel Latushko refused the lawyer assigned to him. According to him, the Investigative Committee is trying to create the appearance of legality, but it does not work well. He also demanded to receive a copy of the decision to initiate a criminal case or to recognize him as a suspect. But I did not receive the corresponding document.

Candidate for the presidency of the Republic of Belarus in the 2020 elections. After the announcement of the official results, protests began. Tikhanovskaya announced the usurpation of power by the incumbent president and called for new and fair elections. On August 11, 2020, Tikhanovskaya left Belarus. Her husband Sergei Tikhanovsky, a blogger and politician, was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Pavel Latushko, Olga Kovalkova, Maria Moroz, Sergei Dylevsky were tried in the same criminal case. In total, they were charged with 12 articles.

On January 11, Svyatlana Tikhanovskaya applied to the Minsk City Court demanding that she be granted the right to familiarize herself with the materials of the case in her trial in absentia. She also notified the court that she was going to exercise her right to a lawyer. She also wrote to the Minsk City and Republican Bar Associations that she wanted to contact the lawyer assigned to her and work out a position.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya stressed that she considers the procedure of trial in absentia a violation of basic human rights and freedoms.

Nadezhda was convicted for participating in a protest held on September 6, 2020 in Grodno against the falsification of the presidential elections and violence in the country. She was sentenced to serve her sentence in an open-type correctional facility, after which she had to leave Belarus.

In 2024, it became known that a new criminal case had been opened against Nadezhda as part of a special proceeding and she had been convicted in absentia under the article on “assistance to extremist activity.”

Singer. On August 3, a street concert by Meryem was held on the terrace of the "Bottle Banks" bar on Zybitskaya. Among the songs that she performed were the works of the Ukrainian group Okean Elzy. During one of the peaceful meetings, they allegedly went out onto the roadway, thereby obstructing the movement of traffic and causing damage to Minsktrans. They are outside Belarus and were not present at the trial. They were put on the wanted list on December 21, 2022. At the trial, their testimony, which they gave as witnesses in another case in August 2022, was read out. Then they talked about their participation in the Marches on August 16 and 30, 2020.

The evidence in the case was photographs from Facebook of Olga Prudnikova with Marsha, testimony of witnesses who allegedly confirmed “the fact of the existence of an initial agreement with the accused to jointly participate in unsanctioned mass events in the central part of Minsk.”
