In 2013, he graduated from Yanka Kupala University of Grodno and went to work as a history teacher at a school in Zhemyslavl. Soon after, Sergei became the first secretary of the Ivyevsky District Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) and even joined the local executive committee's leadership reserve. In interviews with state-run media, he praised Belarusian stability and organized patriotic events.

In the winter of 2026, it became known that the 37-year-old man was in pretrial detention. He was charged under Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus ("inciting racial, national, religious, or other social hatred").
