She worked for 13 years at the Center for Children's Oncology, Hematology and Immunology in Borovlyany, and another 3 years at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Children's Surgery. At the same time, she held appointments at Lod and the HappyDerm Laser Dermatology Center.

In 2022, Elena Sharafanovich, who was the director of the private "A1 Clinic", found herself at the center of a scandal. One of the co-founders of the medical center wrote complaints about his own clinic because he " fought" with another co-founder, Ruslan Sharafanovich - this is Elena's husband. As a result, "A1" had its license revoked, and its work was paralyzed. And one of the employees wrote a denunciation against Elena herself for "distributing extremist materials". She was tried and received a fine. The clinic soon closed.

Elena will go on trial at the end of January 2025 for participating in the 2020 protests. Her husband Ruslan was convicted of the same crime a month earlier. The verdict is unknown.
