On June 10, 2022, Judge Elena Shilk found Ivan guilty and sentenced him to four years in a general regime penal colony. He was soon transferred from Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1 to Mogilev Prison No. 4.

Pavel was detained in March 2021 by traffic police on a highway near Minsk, where leaflets, newspapers and stickers were found in his car; according to the Investigative Committee, "thousands of copies of protest newspapers, stickers with unregistered symbols and leaflets" were seized. It is known about Kutas that he was thrown 10 times for a "day" under Art. 24.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (unauthorized picketing) in 2021.
