According to the indictment, on April 22, 2021, at 7:44 a.m., Yuri Yudchits publicly, “with the purpose of humiliating honor and dignity,” insulted a government official in connection with the performance of his official duties — police officer of the OMON platoon of the Brest City Executive Committee Internal Affairs Directorate Vladislav Shukaev.
As soon as Yuri was released, a criminal case was opened against him again, and again for a comment about a police officer. Yevgeny was arrested in September 2021 as part of a criminal case opened following the deaths of KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in Minsk. In the spring of 2022, he was convicted of "inciting social discord" and "insulting a government official."
Evgeny worked at BelAZ for over 20 years. He has two adult children and grandchildren.
