Kirovsk resident Yuri Averkov was detained on the eve of the "Single Voting Day" in February 2024. Propagandists then announced that Averkov was the administrator of a Kirovsk Telegram channel that he created in 2020, where he "called on people to take to the streets." As part of the story on the Telegram channel of the Bobruisk state media holding, it was then claimed that Averkov left offensive comments about security forces on the Internet, registered with the "Plan Peramoga", and also allegedly sent photos of homemade weapons to an anonymous chat bot.

It is known that the day before the “Single Voting Day”, on February 23, Yuri Averkov was tried on an administrative charge for “propaganda or public display, production, distribution of Nazi symbols or paraphernalia” (Part 2 of Article 19.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus).

Oleg, the owner of the YouTube channel "Third Region Belarus," was detained in January 2022 when he returned to Belarus for the New Year holidays.

Oleg was accused of de-anonymizing security officials and, while abroad, allegedly continuing to "post anti-state information on social media and promote resistance to government officials." On his channel, he published videos of Belarusian solidarity protests in Kyiv, where he had lived since 2020. He was also accused of making "cynical comments" about deceased KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk.

In September 2022, he was convicted under several articles of the Criminal Code, including "inciting racial, national, religious, or other social hatred or discord." The court sentenced him to imprisonment in a maximum-security penal colony and ordered him to pay substantial compensation.

In July 2023, Oleg was convicted again of "malicious disobedience to the demands of the prison administration"—a charge often applied to political prisoners who refuse to cooperate with the prison administration. In September of that year, it was reported that he had been transferred to a prison regime.

It was revealed that Oleg faced another court hearing in the first half of summer 2025 under the same charge of "insubordination." The appeal hearing was scheduled for mid-July.

In June 2023, Kondratenko was returned from the Gomel women's penal colony IK-4 to the Mogilev prison to stand trial for a second criminal case. This time, she was charged with a comment on the Telegram channel "Punishermen of Belarus" regarding Andrei Bagrayonok, a traffic police inspector of the Svetlogorsk District Department of Internal Affairs. The post about him appeared on September 27, 2021, and Kondratenko left a comment on September 28.

Anna's second sentence was 1 year of imprisonment and a fine of 50 basic units.

By absorbing a less severe punishment with a more severe one, Kondratenko was left with the same term of 3 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. In both criminal cases, the woman now owes the state more than 5 thousand Belarusian rubles.

The woman died six months after her release from cancer, which she had been diagnosed with in the colony in Gomel. According to former political prisoners , Anna did not receive any parcels or packages. "Her mother is elderly, retired, it was hard for her, so we thought about how to help her ourselves." Despite her serious illness, Kondratenko was not released early.
