Dmitry Shchurko was put in a Brest pre-trial detention center. In December 2020, he was convicted of “stolen a walkie-talkie from a riot policeman” - he was given “household chemicals.” Subsequently, he was detained preventively (on the anniversary of the elections, before Independence Day 2021). Gleb is known to have left the message "Dimon tu-du-tu" (to the tune of the music from the film "Boomer").

In February 2023, he was found guilty of "inciting hatred or discord," "obstructing the lawful professional activities of a journalist," "insulting a government official," "insulting Lukashenko," and "calls for restrictive measures (sanctions) and other actions aimed at harming the national security of the Republic of Belarus," and sentenced to imprisonment.

On September 11, 2025, it was announced that 52 prisoners of the Belarusian regime had been forcibly transferred to Lithuania, including citizens of European countries. Gleb was among those released.

Dmitry was convicted in September 2021 of "insulting a government official" for his reaction to police officers beating him. The incident occurred in November 2020, when police officers came to search his brother's home, and he filmed the incident.
