A journalist and Catholic believer from Polotsk, Tina had long since retired from journalism, raising two daughters and working in archives, including Russian ones, fulfilling private commissions for biographical essays, family books, and stories about World War II veterans.

Earlier, in 2022, the journalist was tried on administrative charges and heavily fined for wearing yellow and blue ribbons on her bag, while the Investigative Committee investigated her Facebook post and searched her home.

She has been out of contact since the end of May 2025. Tina and her eldest daughter, Margarita, 22, are in custody on criminal charges. Tina also has a younger daughter, 14, who is underage.

Details of the charges have not been officially disclosed. Circumstantial evidence suggests that the case may be connected to the KGB's decision to designate Professor Andrei Vardomatsky's Belarusian Analytical Workshop as an extremist group. This organization conducted sociological surveys among Belarusian citizens. There is currently no confirmation that Tina or her daughter actually participated in the BAM research. But even if such participation had occurred, it would not have violated the law: at the time of possible contact with the workshop, it had not yet been designated an extremist group.

On October 13, 2025, it became known that Tina’s husband, writer Ales Polynsky , had died .

When in June 2024 the KGB of Belarus declared the Media IQ project an extremist group, it named Pitkevich among its participants. Around the same time, Polina's accounts were last online.

Polina Pitkevich was born in 1994. She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Belarusian State University (2016). She was fond of theater and for some time played as an actress in the Laboratory of Social Theater in Minsk. As a journalist, she wrote on cultural topics. Polina is also known for her love of animals - on her social media pages, you can find many ads about helping homeless tailed ones. According to friends, Polina had more than one rescued cat living in her house.

Her boyfriend, Maksim Shukanov, was arrested along with her. There has been no information about his release; he is likely also in pretrial detention.

After Zyl's arrest, security forces gained access to a bot used by informants from the Belarusian Gayun OSINT monitoring project. A fatal technical error lay in the fact that the link with access rights to Gayun's bot, which she had once received—apparently back in 2022—had no expiration date. It's unlikely that Zyl knew this, and it's unlikely that Motoľko remembered it, but nevertheless, even in 2025, it was possible to access the bot and gain access to all the information. This is precisely what ultimately happened. When security forces detained Polina in February 2025 and gained access to her mobile phone, they were able to connect to the bot and extract all the information. They obtained messages from the accounts that had written to the bot, as well as their IDs and usernames.

Polina is 31 years old. She is originally from Yelsk and studied in Mozyr. In 2020, she supported the protests and even received a day's detention. Polina then retreated into the shadows but remained in the country. Both Zyl and Shukanov were wanted by authorities but refused to leave Belarus.

Alina Shevtsova was added to the list of participants of the "extremist formation" "School of Leadership for Women" at the end of September 2024. This is an educational project for Belarusian female students, which helps them develop leadership skills.

It is known that the KGB considers Yana to be involved in the “Urban Garden Maris Mar” project, which was recognized as an “extremist formation.”

Victoria was arrested in October 2024 in connection with the "yard chats" case.

According to the agency, those involved in these initiatives include Irina Yakovleva, Natalia Doronina, Diana Gavrilova, Ukrainian citizen Ivan Omelyan, Olga Nekhaychik, Konstantin Kirilenko, Yelizaveta Plitnik, Natalia Guzhova, Irina Smolyarova, Stanislav Botvin, and Natalia Lantukh. A few days later, mass arrests in this case took place across Belarus.

Irina Yakovleva is known to have been an active Orthodox believer, involved in church art and donating to churches and monasteries in Belarus. She worked as an accountant.

The media reports that at least six people among those detained by security forces 15 days ago have not been released after serving their administrative arrest, including Tatyana.

Olga was arrested for assisting political prisoners, specifically by sending them packages. She was found guilty of "aiding extremist activity" and sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.

She was detained along with her husband Andrei Selyaninov on October 31, 2024 and placed into custody for " active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order."

Violeta graduated from school in Minsk and entered the Warsaw Academy of Arts. The girl is interested in photography and loves traveling.

Three years ago she got married and changed her last name. The couple became famous because the guy, former football player Fedor Verbitsky, proposed to the girl right at the stadium after the end of the game.

The criminal case was prompted by a video the family made in the summer of 2020 calling for an end to violence. Father Gennady testified in court that one day in the summer of 2020, emotionally affected by the data he saw online about the violence used by the officers against protesters, he decided to record a video addressing the officers calling for a justified use of force. He came up with the text of the speech and then asked his daughter to read it. He also asked his wife to speak out about the elections. On the same day, he expressed his wishes for the future of the country on video, and at the end of his speech, he also showed a heart symbol. After that, he found videos on the Internet and edited the video. On the same day, he sent it to several of his friends and relatives.
