Since 2017, he has been involved in the issuance of politically motivated court decisions, at least 25 decisions awarding at least 111 days of administrative arrest and fines of at least 8,857 rubles in fines and at least 2 years of restriction or imprisonment. On December 20, 2022, he convicted Alexey Azarko under Art. 369 (Insulting a representative of authority) of the Criminal Code. He sentenced Alexey to two years of restriction of freedom without sending him to an open correctional facility (“home chemicals”), but subsequently the Vitebsk Regional Court changed the sentence, imposing a sentence of imprisonment. Sentenced Glubokoye journalist Dmitry Lupach to 10 days of arrest and 45 basic fines. He was tried under two articles of the Administrative Code - Part 2 of Art. 22.9 (“Illegal production and distribution of media products”) and Part 1 of Art. 23.34 (“Violation of the procedure for organizing or holding mass events”).
