On October 28, 2022, judge Sergei Berezyuk found Edgar Shirko guilty under Art. 369 (Insulting a representative of the authorities) and Part 1 of Art. 130 (Inciting other social hostility) of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to imprisonment in a colony under general regime conditions for a period of three years and a fine of 3,200 rubles in the “Zeltzer case”.
