According to human rights activists, the political prisoner was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months of imprisonment, but the final term of punishment remained the same. The judge also ordered the man to pay 4.2 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage. An appeal against this sentence was heard on March 10, 2023 in the Gomel Regional Court.
Evgeniya was transferred from Pre-trial Detention Center No. 3 to Novopolotsk Correctional Colony No. 1 at the end of March 2023.
On 24.02.2025 he was released, having fully served the sentence imposed by the court.

Alexander was detained as part of a criminal case opened for participating in protests that took place in Mozyr in August 2020 after the presidential elections. He was charged under the articles "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order" and "violence or threat of violence against an employee of the internal affairs bodies." It is known that during his detention in the temporary detention facility, Alexander was tortured: he was not given a mattress, was not allowed to wash, eat normally, or receive warm drinks. As a result, his health deteriorated significantly.
According to human rights activists, he was released in the spring of 2024, having fully served the sentence imposed by the court.
