Anatoly Grigorievich Sotnikov
He has handed down punitive sentences in politically motivated cases since 2012. Found Sergei Treshchenko guilty of distributing a video depicting the brutality of security forces, and sentenced him to 3 years in prison to serve the sentence in a general regime correctional colony. Andrei Podnebenny was tried under the following articles: part 1 of article 14 and part 3 of article 218 (attempted intentional destruction or damage to someone else’s property), part 1 of article 361-1 (creation of an extremist formation), part 1 and part 2 of article 289 (act of terrorism) . The court session was closed. Sentenced Ilya Veremeev to 6.5 years in prison for messages in telegram chats under two articles of the Criminal Code: part 1 article 14, part 1 article 293 (attempt to organize mass riots) and part 1 article 130 (inciting other social discord). Presumably, such messages in the group chat were the guy’s reaction to the war that began in Ukraine, including from the territory of Belarus, by the Russian armed forces.

Sergei was detained and convicted for reposting a video and commenting on it addressed to the riot police on the social network VKontakte.
He was released in November 2023, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.

Leonid, the Chairman of the Gomel branch of the Human Rights Center "Viasna", is a human rights activist with 20 years of experience in restoring violated rights of citizens. He was actively involved in preparing and sending numerous individual appeals to the UN Human Rights Committee against Belarus. In 2020, Leonid provided legal assistance in appealing court decisions in cases of participants in rallies in Gomel that took place after the falsification of the presidential elections. In January 2021, he was detained and convicted for participating in protests.
He was released on July 21, 2023, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
In early March 2024, a criminal case was opened against Leonid in absentia for "assisting extremist activity." In June of the same year, a trial in absentia took place, where he was sentenced to imprisonment and a large fine.
