It is known that the prosecutor asked for two years of imprisonment for the 54 year old woman, but judge Dmitry Korsyuk imposed a harsher punishment - three years in a penal colony.
Polina is the wife of political prisoner journalist Dmitry Luksha, who is being held behind bars under the same articles (complicity in discrediting the Republic of Belarus and active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order). In addition to imprisonment, Polina was awarded a fine of 3 200 BYN.

In 2012, she was elected deputy chair of the party, a position she later resigned from.

According to the indictment, on August 23, 2020, she "publicly shouted slogans, loudly applauded, and stood on the roadway, thereby blocking and impeding the movement of public transport in Minsk, including the Minsktrans public transport system."
