On February 14, 2024, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against representatives and participants of the "Personnel Reserve for a New Belarus" initiative, created by the United Transitional Cabinet. Later, the ONT television channel aired 14 arrests in connection with this case, and propagandist Igor Tur stated that he had been attending lectures on the program alongside security officials for a year.

Pro-government channels also published a video featuring Alexander, in which he confirmed his participation in the initiative.

In December 2024, he was convicted under the articles "organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them" and "assisting extremist activity" and sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.

The "Personnel Reserve for a New Belarus" program, launched in November 2022, was aimed at training specialists to work in government agencies and implement reforms.

He was released on March 20, 2026, as part of a pardon following another visit to Minsk by US President Donald Trump's special representative, John Cole.

Presumably, before the trial, the woman was kept in Baranavichy pre-trial detention center No. 6: she herself lives in either the Lyakhovichi or Luninets districts, but in December 2023 she was tried twice in the Baranavichy court under Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (the second time she was tried via Skype). This follows from the decisions of the Baranavichy court regarding Makarova. In those administrative cases, the woman was given 10 days of arrest, a fine of 20 basic (740 rubles) and her phone was confiscated.

Sergei and his wife were detained in November 2023. Before the trial, Sergei was in custody, and Tatyana was under recognizance, since the family had two minor children.

According to the prosecution , in August 2020, Sergei and Tatyana took part in an unauthorized mass event, together with the protesters they marched through public places in the city, the central square, and Zhilibert Park. At the same time, they showed a pre-made poster measuring approximately 2.5 x 3 meters, on which a text containing slanderous information against the president was written in black and red colors, thereby deliberately spreading slanderous information against him in connection with his execution powers of the head of state.

The accused Sergei Chizh fully admitted his guilt at the court hearing. He explained that the poster was heavy, and it was soon rolled up, and after the procession, Sergei burned it.

Tatyana Chizh did not admit guilt to the charges, explaining that she was depressed due to the serious illness of her mother, who is disabled.

They were identified from photographs from the Internet.
