Andrey is a Ukrainian citizen originally from Chernihiv. He moved to Belarus after his marriage at his wife's request, as her parents lived there. Andrey is a former military serviceman. He worked as an electrician at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, where he was arrested in January 2023 as part of a criminal case.
In the pro-government film "Gaspar Didn't Respond," aired on the ONT television channel on April 5, 2023, Andrei was accused of being an agent for Ukraine.
