Political persecutions

Anna was convicted of "participating in group actions that grossly violate public order" in a criminal case opened after a protest that took place in Brest on September 13, 2020. During the protest, participants sang songs and danced in circles, and a water cannon was used against them.

In December 2024, as part of a special proceeding against Anna, a court hearing was held in absentia to replace the restriction of freedom with imprisonment in a penal colony.

Konstantin was arrested in September 2021 in connection with a criminal case opened for online comments following the deaths of KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in Minsk. He was charged with "inciting hatred or discord" and "insulting a government official."

Released in May 2022 on bail.

Gleb, a well-known organizer of aerial drone photography, was arrested in September 2021 in connection with a criminal case opened for online comments following the deaths of KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in Minsk. Gleb is known to have left the message "Dimon tu-du-tu" (to the tune of the music from the film "Boomer").

In February 2023, he was found guilty of "inciting hatred or discord," "obstructing the lawful professional activities of a journalist," "insulting a government official," "insulting Lukashenko," and "calls for restrictive measures (sanctions) and other actions aimed at harming the national security of the Republic of Belarus," and sentenced to imprisonment.

On September 11, 2025, it was announced that 52 prisoners of the Belarusian regime had been forcibly transferred to Lithuania, including citizens of European countries. Gleb was among those released.

Grigory was convicted in October 2021 on charges of threatening to use violence against law enforcement officers. According to the prosecution, on August 11, 2020, he was at the intersection of Timiryazev and Saperov Streets in Minsk, intending to obstruct the lawful activities of police officers and, in retaliation for their actions, throwing unidentified objects at them, including chicken eggs, which landed on the hood of a traffic police car.

Alexander was found guilty in the fall of 2021 for a comment left on the social network Odnoklassniki under a post about police officer Igor Volnich.

In May 2024, another court hearing was held against Alexander under the article "hooliganism", the outcome of which is unknown.

Anna was convicted in the fall of 2021 for a comment she left on the Telegram channel "Punishermen of Belarus" under a post about Senior Assistant Prosecutor Valeria Taratynko, who supported the prosecution in numerous politically motivated cases.

In addition, Taratynko demanded compensation for moral damages, which, in her opinion, were expressed in feelings of anxiety, resentment and humiliation.

Sudnik was initially charged with "insulting a government official" for her remarks about Oleg Gaidukevich. However, since the "crime" was committed during a phone call to 911, it was deemed non-public, and the charges were dropped.

At the same time, a similar argument was not applied to the charge of "insulting Lukashenko." The court found that the police officer, having heard the offensive remarks, passed them on to others, thereby making them public. Ultimately, Sudnik was found guilty of calling the police twice on January 6, 2021, and insulting Lukashenko.

Nadezhda was found guilty in September 2021 of insulting a public official — a police officer — on social media. He failed to appear at the court hearing.

In addition to restricting freedom, the court satisfied the material claim of the “victim” and ordered that he be paid moral compensation.

Dmitry was convicted for a comment he left on the Telegram channel "Lukhta" under a post about the deanonymization of Ruslan Kutsko, an operative in the economic crimes unit of the criminal police of the Ivatsevichy District Executive Committee. According to the indictment, he allegedly intended to publicly humiliate the honor and dignity of a government official.

The sentence ended on October 27, 2023.

Natalia, a special education teacher, was arrested in September 2021 as part of a criminal case brought against factory employees who supported the strike and were part of the "Rabochy Rukh" initiative, under the statute of "treason." On September 21, 2021, this initiative was designated an extremist organization, following which mass arrests of workers took place across the country.

Released in November 2021 on bail.

Yulia was found guilty in September 2021 of "desecration of buildings and damage to property" for spray-painting the words "Long Live White-Red-White" on a concrete pipe using gold paint. According to the prosecutor, her actions "reduced the aesthetic value of the property, necessitating the removal of the graffiti by painting over it."

Nikita was accused of blocking public transportation in Minsk on August 10, 2020, and convicted under the article "Organizing or actively participating in group actions that grossly violate public order." He was sentenced to restricted freedom with a referral.

In October 2024, a court hearing was held in absentia as part of a special proceeding to replace the restriction of freedom with a referral to imprisonment in a penal colony.

Evgeny, the author of the Advek project, was arrested in September 2021 on charges of group actions grossly disturbing public order. The arrest was motivated by a photograph taken on August 9, 2020, showing him at a crosswalk when the traffic light was green during a post-election protest in Minsk.

In November 2021, he was found guilty and sentenced to restricted freedom with direction.

He left Belarus before starting to serve his sentence.

In December 2024, a court hearing in absentia was held as part of a special proceeding on the issue of replacing a restriction of freedom with a referral to an open-type correctional facility with imprisonment in a penal colony.

Maxim, a senior energy dispatcher at Belarusian Railways, was arrested in the fall of 2021 as part of a criminal case brought against factory employees who supported the strike and were part of the "Rabochy Rukh" (Workers' Movement) initiative.
On September 21, 2021, this initiative was designated an extremist organization, following which mass arrests of workers took place across the country.

Released in November 2021 under a surety.

Darina was found guilty in September 2021 of "insulting a government official" for a comment she left on the "Punishermen of Belarus" Telegram channel about a riot police officer. However, neither his name nor the comment itself were disclosed in court.
