In December 2020, he was sentenced to 4 years of chemistry for spraying gas in the face of a riot policeman while defending a person at a protest. He was released from the courtroom before serving his sentence. However, the prosecutor considered the punishment too lenient, and in March 2021 Nikita was given a new sentence - two and a half years in prison. The young man did not appear at the trial, but through a friend he handed over a letter in which he said that, according to his information, arbitrary arrests were planned in the courtroom, which threatened him and those present.
