Ilya was detained in March 2021 and convicted of "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order" and under the article on "hooliganism" for damaging two Beltelecom cameras and making "cynical inscriptions". Two criminal cases were initiated against Andrey: under article 361 of the Criminal Code (“Calls for actions damaging national security”) and under article 368 of the Criminal Code (insulting the president). The case for insulting the president was initiated after Andriy's interview dated March 29, 2021, which, according to the prosecutor's office, contained calls for protests on his behalf, as well as language and expressions publicly insulting the president.

Andrei's wife, activist Polina Sharendo-Panasyuk, is in custody on a criminal case of violence against police officers, insulting the president and officials. There are two children in the family.

In October 2022, the KGB included Elena in the list of "persons involved in terrorist activities."
