Alexey is an MMA fighter and multiple world champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai. On August 10, 2020, he was detained in Molodechno. After two weeks in the pre-trial detention center, he was transferred to house arrest, but he did not appear in court and was put on the wanted list.
On January 21, 2021, Alexey was detained in Moscow and later extradited to Belarus, despite a ban by the European Court of Human Rights. He was convicted of resisting an internal affairs officer.
On December 28, 2022, he was released after fully serving the sentence imposed by the court.
