Artem was convicted for a comment left on VKontakte under a video about official Sergei Stashevsky, who was reported to have forced members of the election commission to falsify protocols. Artem was initially given "house arrest", but after a prosecutor's protest, the sentence was changed to "chemistry" with a referral to a correctional facility.
He was released in October 2022, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
