Denis was convicted of writing “We will not forget” at the scene of the death of Alexander Taraikovsky, who was shot near the Pushkinskaya metro station during a protest that took place on August 10, 2020 in Minsk.
The political prisoner was detained again on February 15, 2022 in the case of an “extremist chat” and on July 5, 2022, he was convicted of insulting a government official on social networks. The court sentenced him to one year and seven months of imprisonment in a colony, taking into account the unserved term.
On June 10, 2023, he was released after fully serving the sentence imposed by the court.
