The incident for which Petrykivka resident, businessman Dmitry Levkovich, was convicted occurred in November last year, reports Poleska Vesna. After such a brutal detention, Dmitry Levkovich was taken to the hospital with a concussion and numerous bruises. After he came to his senses, the authorities imprisoned him for 15 days for disobeying the police. He served his entire prison term. In August 2021, the trial began under Article 369 of the Criminal Code. The policemen who beat Dmitry felt insulted by the fact that during the beating he shouted “Let go, p***ers!” . Dmitry was sentenced to 2 years of restriction of freedom without direction .
On March 15, 2022, Judge Anoshko considered another criminal case against Dmitry for insult and sentenced him to imprisonment in a colony.
In November 2023, he was released, having fully served his sentence.
