Evgeniy Khoroshkevich was detained on January 18, 2021 in Novopolotsk.
As the accused's father, Alexander, said, the problems began after his son went to observe the polling station at his place of registration in the village of Farinovo. He wrote a complaint to the prosecutor's office about a gross violation of the electoral code, in which he reported an unsealed ballot box. After that, on August 12, police officers came to Yevgeny's work and detained him. But they soon released him. On January 19, 2021, he was detained again, but this time as part of a criminal case.
At the reading of the sentence, Evgeny's parents brought to the courtroom printed color photographs of his three-month-old daughter Milana. While he was behind bars, he had a child, whom he had not yet seen. In the colony, he is registered as prone to extremism.
