Evgeny was arrested in August 2021 in connection with a criminal case opened under the article "violence or threat of violence against a law enforcement officer." In November of that year, he was accused of throwing a wooden door from a shared balcony of a high-rise building onto police officers in August 2020.
According to human rights activists, he was released in the summer of 2023, having fully served his sentence imposed by the court.
