Grigory was detained in October 2020 and later convicted of throwing at least three unspecified objects towards the roadway and special transport during a protest on August 10, 2020, near the Riga shopping center in Minsk.

According to human rights activists, he was released in January 2025, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
