Igor, the former Belarusian ambassador to Slovakia, condemned the violence against the Belarusian people and protesters following the undemocratic presidential elections in August 2020 and participated in various socio-political initiatives.
On August 11, 2021, he was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility as part of a criminal case under the article "group actions grossly violating public order."
