Mikhail was detained in a criminal case opened after spontaneous protests that took place on August 10, 2020 in Brest against the falsification of the presidential elections. During the protest, he was beaten. He was convicted of participating in "mass riots." According to the case materials, the total damage amounted to about 24 thousand Belarusian rubles.
In December 2021, he was transferred to prison regime.
On March 28, 2024, Mikhail was fully released after serving his sentence imposed by the court.
