He was detained on August 10, 2020 and severely beaten during the arrest. Nikolai then ended up in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury, where he lay for two weeks. Then he was twice summoned for interrogation in criminal cases of insulting the flag and riots.
On September 23, 2022, he was released after the expiration of the sentence.
