Nikolai was repeatedly tried for “unauthorized picketing,” and in March 2022, the man was arrested for 20 days for calling for participation in the protest on February 27. He was detained at home by five security officers wearing bulletproof vests.
On December 5, 2023, an appeal hearing was held and the verdict entered into force.
