It is known that the boy had successfully competed in district intellectual games competitions among schoolchildren. Oleg was 16 years old at the time of his arrest. He was beaten for six hours while being transported to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GUBOP) building. There, after he asked, "Why are they interrogating me without a lawyer present?", he was beaten again.
He finished school in a pre-trial detention facility.
One of Five detained members of the closed chat "Sayuz Belarusiana Natsianalnaga Shchyta" (The Belarusian National Movement), whose detention the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported in early November 2022. During his imprisonment, Oleg spent 129 days in solitary confinement. He was first placed there on the second day after arriving at the adult prison colony. He was constantly denied visits and parcels.
He was released in June 2025, having fully served his sentence as imposed by the court.
