The man was accused of leaving a comment in Belarusian in the corporate chat of one of the social networks of a large freight transportation company, in which he explained that: “our flag is white-red-white”; and called today’s: “sunrise over a swamp.”
Pavel wrote the comment while he was in Western Europe on a flight after which he returned to Belarus.
Pavel Dubov from Minsk, married, has a child under three. The man filed an appeal against the sentence to the regional court.
According to human rights activists, he was released in the summer of 2024, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.

👉 foul language
👉 discussion of the circumstances of the criminal case
