He was detained on March 23, 2021 for standing up for his mother when she was harshly detained by riot police and GUBOPiK in her own apartment. A criminal case was opened against Sergei for threatening to use violence against police officers.
On the day of his release he was arrested again under Part 1 of Art. 411 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (Malicious disobedience to the requirements of the administration of a correctional institution ) and was placed in prison in Zhodino. The trial began on June 20, 2024. At the third court hearing, a sentence was pronounced - 1 year in prison, this is the maximum term under Part 1 of Art. 411.
