Sergei was arrested and convicted for participating in and resisting a protest that took place in August 2020 in Grodno.
In November 2021, his punishment was increased and he was transferred to prison.
According to human rights activists, he was released at the end of spring 2024, having fully served the sentence imposed by the court.
