Sergey is a former professional football player. In 1997-1998, he played 36 matches in the Major League, played for Molodechno and Slonim's Kommunalnik. After finishing his career, he went into the media business. He worked as the commercial director of Alfa-Radio. After that, he was the director of the advertising agency Prime Media Group and the editor-in-chief of the TV channel TV RAY.
He was arrested and convicted in connection with a case of mass riots initiated following the events of August 9-13, 2020.
In June 2023, the court decided to transfer Sergei to prison regime until the end of his term.
On August 1, 2025, he was released , having fully served his sentence.
