Former International Secretary of the BSDP. was detained on October 21, 2021 and until mid-December was kept in the KGB pre-trial detention center as part of a criminal case on terrorism. Then the charge was reclassified to Art. 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. At the trial, it turned out that the term of imprisonment in the KGB pre-trial detention center would not be counted. The term of serving the sentence is considered from December 16, 2021.
On February 20, 2023, he was released after the expiration of his sentence.
