Journalist of the Belsat TV channel. Together with journalist Daria Chultsova, she became a defendant in a criminal case after a live broadcast from the scene of the brutal dispersal of demonstrators by the security forces on the "Square of Changes" in Minsk on November 15, 2020.

After seven days of administrative arrest, she was not released. Katerina was transferred to a detention center in Zhodzina.

On February 18, 2021, she was sentenced to 2 years in prison and sent to a general regime correctional colony.

On February 10, 2022, Katerina was transferred from correctional colony No. 4 to the Gomel pre-trial detention center in connection with “procedural actions”.

On April 7, 2022, it became known that the journalist was charged with a new charge of "treason against the state" ( Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code ). On July 4, 2022, the case began to be considered behind closed doors by the judge of the Gomel Regional Court Oleg Khoroshko . On July 13, he appointed Katerina 8 years and 3 months in a colony under a reinforced regime.

According to the prosecution, Mozheiko “acting on the basis of political and ideological hostility, committed a number of crimes between June 23, 2020 and October 2021.” He also “made and posted on the Internet negative, obscene and unacceptable” statements regarding Lukashenka.

The journalist pleaded not guilty in court.
